Monday Morning

It was 45 degrees this morning when I woke up,but it is climbing and should be in the 70's this afternoon. This is the time of year I enjoy the most its not too cold in the morning, just brisk, and not too hot in the afternoon, just nice.
Today i plan to start working on a rose bed just off my porch. I am not much of a gardener so keep your fingers crossed. The first thing I will be doing is taking a wheel barrow to the back of my property and getting a load of dirt to even up the ground,my husband doesn't think i can do this by myself but i will show him.

It was a very nice weekend we celebrated my youngest grandsons 1st birthday
with a family cookout at Wakulla Springs, its only about 5 miles from my home and one of my favorite places. I hope to have pictures to share soon.
Have a great week and check back to see how my gardening goes !

  1. Well I sure hope your rose bed works out. They are beautiful. But if you are like me you'll just watch them die a slow and painful death! LOL. I can't grow roses for some reason. Could be the salt air. I want pictures when you are done.
    Blessings,
    Kim

  2. I can't wait to see your garden beds. When you go to get dirt to fill in just take it slow and easy. I'm so happy spring is finally here.

  3. My roses are finally starting to leaf out again. I think I might have lost one this winter, though.

I am thoroughly enjoying this weather! I sat on the deck this evening taking pictures of the birds at our feeders until the sand gnats ran me in. They were AWFUL and I'm covered in red spots. Next time I'll wear long sleeves and long pants and dowse myself with Burt's Bees.

  6. I love roses and would have a yard full if I could. As to spring, not sure where it is. We have a snowfall warning right now...ugh. Can't wait to see how your garden does.
