Happy Valentine's Day

It was a Happy Valentine's Day this morning at my house as we celebrated before taking the kiddos to school! Last night Jim gave me these beautiful Tulips and a box of candy. Neighbors also brought us over a big box of chocolate! Tonight we will go to dinner at one of my favorite places" Wakulla Spring Lodge"



I do not know if it had anything to do with Valentine's day or not , but yesterday I found myself missing
my Mother very much , she has been in heaven 25 years now and I do not have days like that much anymore. The first 5 years were terrible, every time I saw someone who resembled her I would burst into tears, but the last 20 years my life has been very full and busy and I have just had happy memories of her but for some reason yesterday I was very sad that she is not here with me anymore.

    Wonderful pictures and a good entry. Valentines day is a nice day to reflect on love and enjoy love of the day.

    We understand the feelings of the departed loved ones. It is good to know you CAN and DO miss them. Their memories are too precious to let slide. I am grateful so many times that we had a great family life growing up.

    Hi Elizabeth. I remember how much fun it was to get the kids ready for Valentine's Day at school and to go through their cards when they got home. It's funny how our loved ones that are no longer with us will pop into our heads and hearts with no warning.     I understand your emotions. Valentine's Day was the day that my husband and I received his cancer diagnosis and then he passed 3 weeks later. Some years are more of a struggle than others. I'm glad you had a nice day and dinner out. Have a lovely weekend. Gonna be cold this weekend!!
