It is now 44 warming to 70 this afternoon! I do not know how you in the North do it!
Yesterday we had a low of 24 and only a high in the 40's that is brutal for Florida! I stayed inside with central heat on, candles burning, hot coffee and hot chocolate reading and watching movies! I could do a few days of this, but not much more!
Oh Elizabeth, you crack me up! :) That cartoon is hilarious. Yesterday we had one of our many 5-degree-high days and now they are feeling like the same ol' same ol'. Thanks for making me chuckle today! Hugs, Debra
ReplyDeleteYes, better for sure today! I spoke to someone yesterday so said it was 21 degrees at her house at 6:30 am. I actually went out (briefly) without a jacket a few minutes ago. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI will trade places with you today, hah.
ReplyDeleteAh, do I remember Florida. While stationed aboard the USS Independence she pulled into J-ville. They announced over the ships intercom, it is a cool 40 degrees. In my compartment we laughed we had left Norfolk in snow and the single digits.
ReplyDeleteBUT, but when I went ashore in a short sleeve summer uniform, I cannot remember being so cold. That wind off the water and temp of 40, was freezing to this sailor. HA@!
We are downon the Peace river at Wauchula, supposed to be in the 70's today. YEAAAA!
That is exactly how I spend the winter days and I have grown very tired of this way of life. I don't like wintertime much at all and am longing for warmth and getting outdoors once again. If it wasn't for snow shoveling, I'd be inside all winter. Quick runs to church and the grocery store just don't do it for me. Glad you are warming up !
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to be in the cold when you live in year round heat. I think your blood is thinner...so i am not going to giggle over your low temps...when I am in the heat,...I suffer.
ReplyDeleteSo funny and today we will be in the 80's LOL! I stepped outside this morning and could not believe how warm it was....Yea we survived!!

My sister lives in Naples and she is "cold" there also! We are seeing a "warming trend" here the weather man says warming up to 8 degrees above zero! Everything is relative! Our community "celebrates" the cold with Polar Plunges, Winter Ice Bars ( outdoor bars carved out of ice), Ice Castles, and Ice Carvings! ; ) Stay warm!
