Enjoying each day !

The last few days my emotions have been all over the place, but I have decided that I am not going to spend the rest of our life together being sad. Whatever time we have, and it may very well be a long time, none of us know when we will leave this world, I am going to enjoy every minute. We went out for coffee and a sandwich last night and ran into friends we had not seen in awhile. This weekend we will have the 2 youngest grandchildren, the weather is suppose to be in the 80's Saturday so we are going to take them along the coast for a day trip and play in the white beach sand some and enjoy all the "simple pleasures" that we can.

  1. I totally agree with your thoughts, as I am facing a similar situation. Enjoy each hour, each day as it comes.

  2. That is the SPIRIT I like to see. ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE NOW! I smile thinking of when we took my mama into our home. Drs. said she doesn't have long. We enjoyed her company for a long time and in the mean time she lost a son and grandson.

You are right: NO ONE KNOWS HOW LONG WE HAVE TO LIVE, So YES ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE.

  3. Yes, Elizabeth! That's exactly right. Enjoy, enjoy every single moment you have left together and make the most of them. You'll have no regrets that way, only wonderful memories which will encourage you forever. Praying for you both.... Hugs, Debra

  4. Elizabeth, you are so brave, meeting the demands of this new medical crisis with such a beautiful attitude. You are right, no one can tell us how long we are going to be here, it is how we spend the time we have, rather than having a lot of time that matters.

You are both in my thoughts and prayers,
    Meredith

  8. With my Frank being close to death numerous times these past thirteen years the one main lesson I was able to achieve was learning to live one day at a time.
