I had my three youngest Grandchildren all weekend. ( The older one is 15 and thought he was too old to join us for this this year) We made cookies, watched Christmas movies and put up the Christmas tree!I downsized the tree this year and I am not so sure I like it, but it does look better than it does in the photos! I do enjoy doing these kind of things with them! I am going to try to post pictures we took and hope they post!

  2. A special time with the Grand Kids. OUrs still talk about the special times, but yep, they out grew us. But when it is expected, it is understood. You guys look like you were having a great time. and As years go on that tree size will mean nothing compared to the memories, which get BIGGER!

  4. Putting up the tree and decorating is always fun but to do it with grandchildren makes it extra special. I'm sure you made some special memories for them that they will never forget.

  8. Good morning Elizabeth,
I want to thank you for visiting my blog - your comments are always so sweet.

What fun with the grandchildren! When our two oldest were little we always had a tree trimming weekend with them - I really miss those days.
I enjoyed reading on down and seeing all your lovely decorating.
Blessings and enjoy the nice weather you have!

  9. We down sized our tree a couple of years ago. I didn't like it at first. But most of my grandkids aren't into that scene either, anymore. Oldest is 23, youngest 11. But the younger ones live 3 hours away. I found your site through ITS A SMALL TOWN LIFE. Will be back.
