More "simple pleasures"

A wonderful weekend at my house. Yesterday hubby and I went to the local "worm grunting festival" visited several yard sales and antique stores in our little community. Our 14 year old grandson came and spent the night with us. We watched some t.v and talked before going to bed. This morning I fixed him his favorite breakfast, bacon and scrambled eggs,we sat and talked some more. It was very nice, he stays so busy with school, sports and friends, that we do not see as much of him as we would like, so this was very special !

    1. worm grunting is done with a stick in the dirt to get the worms to come up and theres a contest to see who gets the most I am not exactly sure how they do it, but the festival is just like most other festivals with arts and crafts and food

  2. Whenever a 14-year-old grand visits, it has to be special. They're sooo busy! But then grandmother's breakfasts sound pretty wonderful.

  3. Hmmm...what's a worm grunting festival? The yard sales and antique stores sound like a fun way to spend the day...worm grunting? I'll wait to find out what that's all about. :)Thanks for visiting and leaving a nice comment.

    1. Babs, I have never joined in the worm grunting myself but they do it with a stick in the dirt and rub it with a brick to make a vibration in the ground and the worms come up. This was how it was done to collect fish bait.
