a new beginning!

I have finally decided that it is time for a change in our lives. My hubby has wanted to do this for awhile but I said,we have spent 20 years of our lives here and it is "home" I want to stay put,I love my home. There are things that I do not love though, raking leaves, picking up limbs almost daily on our 2 acres and fighting ants, that always win, anyway I have come to the realization that we need a smaller place,we really do not need a 10 room house and 2 acres in our later years. So I am getting our home ready to put up for sale. We have been looking and found a place we both love and will fit our live style now. So, I am excited about the change, but a little sad about leaving here, but I have to remind myself, most of the things I love about here, will be going with us, this place just houses all the things I love.

  1. I know that someday that time is going to come for me too. It won't be easy though as here is the most economical place I can be but it does have 9 rooms 3 of which are not used except for storage. I wish you all the best with the sale of your home and getting into where you want to live. Some changes are wonderful. I hope your Wednesday is a wonderful one.

  4. We are doing the same. Our home is on the market now and hopefully will sell soon. We've found the place we want to live at too. Hope it all goes well for you. Hugs

  5. I hope it all goes well. It's horrible having to move, but there will be a lot you love about your new place too.

  6. I think what happens is...if we don't make the choice when We can the choice is made for us some time along the way. I made the choice to downsize and do I miss the home I raised my children in? I sure have. But it's been 10 years now and this house is home. Much smaller, less stuff and I can live here on the money I have until I die. I'm comfortable. I've made new friends. Had to let go of some of the old and it broke my heart but people change through the years and today is better because of the decisions I've made. Best to you in your search for a different home.
