Growing up!

My puppies are 4 weeks old. I have found a home for all of them but 1 and the 1 we are keeping. They have been so much fun to watch these 4 weeks, from tiny ,helpless little things to now playing, barking, eating, its going to be hard to see them go.Just a little bit like,(on a much smaller scale of course)having our children grow up and leave, not needing us as they once did. I am just a little sad because my first grandson turned 13 a few months ago and I miss that little boy that he was for all those years. He is now a teenager and interested in so many other things than Grandma and Grandpa

  3. Puppies are just like babies. It always seems that mama dogs have a much better time of it than we do at letting our babies grow up. Teenagers do get busy but eventually I think you'll find he'll be wanting some of the grand parenting time too. Course it is never like when they were little. Hope your Thursday is a great one!

  4. Your pups are so beautiful, I understand it would be tough letting these guys go! Thirteen is a tough age they think there all grown up. This is the age where friends are more important. But they will always love you. Have a great wkend coming up. Hugs, Pearl

  9. Aww... the puppies are adorable!

I remember my own grandmother and how she seemed to grow along with us kids. The way she did that? She was always the best listener on the planet. We always knew she'd listen to anything we told her--without lecturing us. Just listening. And after all these years I still miss her.

Thanks, Elizabeth, for all your sweet comments at my blog! Blessings, Debra

  10. How sweet those little things are! I agree, watching a puppy grow is so fascinating! I don't think I was really understanding of all the energy that one little body can contain. Mandy is certainly a challenge sometimes but definitely worth it! Hope you find just the right person to take that final little one!

  11. I just discovered your blog, via Debra's blog.
I can relate to your comment about your first grandson turning 13 and having other interests. Happened to me this year, too. I miss that cuddly little boy, but am proud of the young man he is becoming.
Thankfully, there are other little ones that to cuddle with.
