THE SIMPLE WOMANS DAYBOOK

The simple womans Daybook

Outside my window the sun is shining and its in the 70's, a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
I am writing on Sunday because my Monday mornings are so busy.
We had a wonderful church service this morning and then I took my 7 year old grandaughter and her friend to a chinese buffet for lunch, not my favorite place but thats what they wanted.
We are now back home and they are playing in the backyard while I have a nice cup of coffee in my "old Country Roses" cup and saucer and enjoy my blogging. My husband will soon be home from work and my grandson and sil will be here also so I am thinking about what I will have for dinner.I am thankful for my wonderful family and the life we share with each other.I am still wearing what I wore to church this morning a black lace sweater and brown long skirt and black pumps. Yesterday my grandaughter and I went to a near by town that is know for its antique stores . They were all having a sidewalk sale we shopped and ate at a little tea room,we had cuban sandwiches and spearmint tea it was wonderful. I am so happy to have a grandaughter that enjoys these thing neither of my daughters did. I bought an old aluminum cakepan and some beautiful lime green curtain panels with silver sparkes on them. I do not have a clue what I will do with them but I just had to have them. There are 6 panels and I have 3 windows in my family room so they will fit those windows but not match anything, I have 2 sage color chairs and a floral sofa of red pink yellow and sage, but I know I will find a way to use them somewhere.
Brittney found her a lovely hat for tea parties, rhinestone clips for her hair, she loves sparkly things just like her grandma. Hopefully I will soon learn how to post pictures so I can share those with you.My plans for the week are to declutter and continue to find ways to simplify life and enjoy the "simple pleasures"

  1. Welcome to blogland Elizabeth! I've only been in blogland for 3 months and it's a wonderful world full of an array of different people, cultures, religions etc. I have seen so much talent it just blows my mind. And yes it has made me yearn for a simpler life also. Thanks for visiting my blog, and I can't wait to see some pictures of your life and the grand children. I'll be back, have a great week. Pearl

  4. Great to see you back, Elizabeth! I was wondering where you had disappeared to.

Wish I'd gone to that sidewalk sale instead of day tripping to Daytona. We hit a deer on the way home... thickest fog I've ever seen and he literally appeared out of nowhere. I cried for 2 days. 8-(

Blogger makes posting pictures pretty easy. When you're composing your post, just click the picture icon and a new box will open. Then use the browse box to find the one you want to post, click upload image and blogger does the rest.

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

    I will keep trying !
Hope the deer did not do any damage to your vehicle . We had one come out of no where on our way home from Perry last year,as well as kill the poor deer we had $1500.00 damage to my car. They are beautiful animals but when i see them on the side of the road it now scares me.Elizabeth
