A Beautiful Morning

It is 8:45 on a beautiful Wednesday morning , the sun is shining and its about 49 degrees here, i just put my grandchildren on the bus and I am setting down with a cup of coffee to do what has become one of my favorite things, blogging.

I just read one from a woman in France, and wonder how would i have ever met or talked to someone in France if i had not found the world of blogging. Thank you Sophiemae for introducing me to this,I still have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying it immensely.

There are a lot of things going on in our world, some in my own family, that could cause us to be pessimistic but I have decided to be thankful for all the good things in my life and give those things i cannot control to the lord,so rather than worry about things today,I will be thankful for my 4 beautiful and healthy grandchildren,my husband,my home, family, church, friends, the robins and squirrels that are playing in my front yard right now.

Oh yes, the lime green curtains ended up in my grandaughters (7 year old) room.
I hung them up while she was at school ,she only had 2 windows so I had 2 extra panels which I used to make a swag over her vanity/dressers mirror.(A wonderful gift fromSophiemae) When she and her friend walked in the room after school they yelled AWESOME! pictures will come, hopefully.

I hope everyone has a great and thankful day!
Elizabeth

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog. I thought I would stop by and see yours as well! :) I like your attitude of being positive when everything is telling you to do otherwise...I am an "Eeyore" personality by nature, so I fight it on daily basis. :) But, I'm trying!!!

    Have a great day!!

  3. Hi Elizabeth, sounds like you had a nice day, and I'm really glad that you like blogland. I was very uncertain about blogging but got over my fear after about one month. Suddenly I started hearing from all kinds of awesome ladies and a few showed me the ropes so to speak. They took me in under there wings and let me soar. Such good people out in blog land. If you have any questions on how to do things on your blog I will help as much as I can. I'm still learning, and new things come up and I just try them out. Made a few mistakes along the way, and of course that's how we learn! I love the fact that your grand daughter loved her "new" room. My grands are 4yrs. & 23 months. And I can do no wrong according to my 4yr. old. I just love them! Have a nice evening and happy surfing! Pearl

  4. AAAAAWWWWWW, I'd love to see what you've done with her room! I do have a few more little things she might like, but I've been slow in getting them together. Is there anything specific she - or your grandson - needs? Talking to my Daytona friend the other day, I said, 'you name it, I have it'. She got so tickled when she named a few odd items and I did actually have them. My goal is to declutter my entire house before summer. I found some things packed away still in the package. Reckon I don't need anything I haven't seen in 2 years. LOL!

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  5. Thanks Sophiemae,
You are so kind. I don't think there is anything they really need, however if you find anything vintage or victorian you need to find a home for i am sure she would love it.
I have there rooms pretty well set up Tylers' room is also my computer room,he doesn't mind he has his t.v. and playstation set up in here,I changed out the curtains and bedding when they came to live with us ,I had pink and green in here,my favorite colors together,so i had to change that for him.Did you read my response to your comment on my previous blog?
I think we had a very similar experience on the way home from Perry.
