A Happy Mothers' Day ! ! !

How wonderful to be a Mother and Grandma! My day started out at 8:00 a.m with a phone call from oldest grandson to say "Happy Mothers" day, then grandaughter got on the phone to sing "Happy Mothers Day to you" then a call from hubby who was at work and then both daughters called and later we met for dinner at one of my favorite places. It does not get much better than this,I feel very blessed!

What A Beautiful Morning !

Not really, its cloudy and very warm and muggy this morning.Rain and thunderstorms are on the way. I have been in a terrible rut lately but today I feel much better,the dark clouds are lifted off of me and I feel like its going to be a wonderful day,even though things are not perfect in my life. I know I do have a lot to be thankful for and happy about, so I am going to think on those things today .

It has been a sad couple of weeks. A beloved friend and neighbor passed away and another was rushed to the hospital a few days later.We never know when things are going to happen to change our lives for ever. Another reason we need to live each day as if its our last and make sure that our loved ones know how much we love them.

A wonderful Easter !

It was a wonderful day! First celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord,having loved ones and friends over for lunch of Baked Ham,candied yams,pineapple souffle,potato salad,fresh peas and butterbeans,cream corn and strawberry cheesecake and coconut cream pie for dessert and of course hiding eggs for the 3 youngest grandchildren all afternoon.When everyone had gone home ,I sat down and relaxed and watched the movie Did you hear about the Morgan's? Thanking God for all his blessings to us!

It is a beautiful sunny day with a high expected of 76 degrees,perfect for the first day of Spring! We are off to a Christian music festival on the river and may take the boat out also,its going to be a great day!

I love all things Irish !

Today I am wearing green, cooking Corned Beef and Cabbage, listening to Celtic music.
