A sad day !

Last night Ellie passed away. She was 11 years old and that is about the expected life for a Cavilier King Charles Spaniel. She was a wonderful part of our family and I will miss her very much. I am thankful that she went peacefully, did not suffer or have to be put down. I already miss her following me from room to room and getting in my lap to cuddle everytime I sit down.

It was a happy Easter !

It was a wonderful Easter weekend! I had one daughter and her children here Saturday and the other daughter, her family, my brother's, nephew and friends here Sunday. I was so busy that I did not get photos but it was very nice. I feel very blessed! Even though it rained all weekend and we had to have the Easter egg hunt inside , I think everyone had a good time!

A fun day trip !

On our day trip to see my Oral Surgeon yesterday we traveled along the coast awhile

and along the back roads awhile

I cannot decide which way I like the best, they are both beautiful!

We usually always go by our favorite place to eat oysters on the half- shell!

This little place has been in the same location for 60 years

There is usually a wait but so worth it! A few of our "simple pleasures"!

It is coming !

Spring is in the air! We enjoyed coffee on the front porch this morning, 65 degrees with a nice cool breeze!

Loving this weather and my new decor!

I found this for my fireplace this past weekend and thought it added more of a spring look to my living room, but it clashed with my striped sofa so I covered it with a white bedspread and added 2 pillows from one of the bedrooms! I am loving the new look! Spring is coming, it is sunny and 60 degrees now, suppose to make it to 80 this afternoon!

Spring is coming !

Since tomorrow is the 1st of March, I am pulling out some of my things of Spring! We were in the 70's today! I sat in the sun for awhile and it did feel nice! I am ready for it!

Severe storms throughout the night !

We were spared from the bad weather last night. In anticipation of it all area schools were closed today and my hubby stayed up all night waiting for it. I have never done that, I went to bed and slept all night only waking up when alarms would go off, warning us of the severe storms. They all went north of us and we just had rain and wind. It was a lot worse to the west of us in Pensacola FL. My daughter is in Louisiana and it was very bad there also. Hope all my blogger friends are safe!
